Simeon Jackson scored twice as Gillingham beat Morecambe to record a fourth straight home league victory.

Mark Bentley opened the scoring, heading home Albert Jarrett’s cross and three minutes later Jackson calmly finished from 18 yards.

Jackson got his second as he controlled a long ball and fired past Barry Roche.

Nicky Southall latched onto a poor Roche clearance to score via a David Artell deflection before substitute Mark McCammon scored from close range.

Gillingham: Royce, Fuller, Mills, King, Nutter, Southall, Weston (Lewis 88), Bentley, Jarrett (Barcham 22), Jackson, Mulligan (McCammon 66).
