Please don't laugh!
Hi Caroline,
How are you?
I am 18 years old and I live in Scotland, United Kingdom. I developed a problem about 5 years ago. Ok I'm writing to you on the hope that you can help me on an extremely delicate matter. I feel really awkward telling you this but for a number of years now I have had a health problem under the name of Genital Warts : ( I know it sounds disgusting but my problem is not really that bad but still visible. I have only told my best friend this and now of course you but no one else.
Please don't laugh at my problem. No matter what anyone says I can't go and see anyone about this problem cause I am far to embaressed. I know doctors have delt with these matters many times before but it doesn't help my confidence in seeing one. My problem is not as serious as others thank god but the point is it's still there and I want it to go so that I can have a good sex life ahead of me.
I have attempted to cure it in my own ways but they were far to painful. For example I used a knife to cut them off, I used liquid acid and scissors. My friend was very angry at me trying these methods but I couldn't help it, it was either that or kill myself. I would rather die than have a doctor look at me. It has gotten to the point where I have had enoughb of the problem and wish for it to dissapear. I really do hope you can help me with this matter as I am ready to give up and end up doing something more stupid. Please help me carloine I'd be most grateful.
Thankyou for your time and co-operation.

Hi Norrie,
You really must visit a doctor for a full and proper checkup, did you know that at least half of men your age have the same problem? so really its quite a common problem.
Go to your GP and get the clearance, because there's an abundance of help out there they can give you, after a bit of research for you Ive found that they can be treated and are treatable with correct care and help. they can be cauterized, frozen off or treated with laser treatment there arealsocreams and lotions Gps can get hold of or clinics or special referral consultants at the hospital can treat you effectively.

But also remember No sex for a while. use condoms if you really have to and keep it clean.
