Internet Relationship

Hi Caroline

Please could you help me? I've had this Internet relationship with this man from America for about 3 years. All of a sudden, he says he doesn't deserve my friendship and says he is a freak. I just don't understand this, as he told me a while ago that he loved me, and I felt the same for him. Please, what should I do, or say to him? I don't want to lose him like this.

I'm afraid I don't condone internet romances, it's not really a good idea, however I respect the fact that during your messages with him for a few years you've grown a fondness for him, I really don't think its healthy to fall in love over the net, not really. If you haven't seen him you don't really know him and some men just like to string girls along and have a bit of cyberfun!!! If he says he's a freak then ask him to explain what he means!! you have right to know his change of heart!! and maybe you can work something out and remain email pen pals!!?

Ask him to post you a picture on the email as an attachment, or ask him to post you his photo set up a po box no with the royal mail and have any letters forwarded to your po box no and that way he cant get hold of your real address (better to be safe!) ask him what has changed, maybe he has met someone (sorry to say this) real life!! and is letting you down gently all the same be careful what you divulge about yourself,stay on your guard.you really don't know who you're dealing with. So keep it friendly and concerned.
