3) Morecambe Tourism Service

The Service Objectives are to:

i) regenerate and sustain the economy of Morecambe by bringing in investment and increasing sustainable employment opportunities.
 
ii) promote and market the resort as a principle destination for staying and day trip visitors.
 
iii) develop and maintain tourist facilities and improve the resorts physical environment and attractions (Promenade and Foreshore Management plus Happy Mount Park).
 
iv) improve the quality of visitor experience through the creation of a resort reflecting quality, diversity and viability (involvement in the resort's regeneration).
 
v) ensure spin-off leisure benefits for local people through the range of leisure and entertainment facilities provided for local persons and tourists alike.
 
vi) provide an efficient and helpfiil Tourist Information Service for visitors and for local people.
 
vii) promote the resort as a conference venue and as a destination for other special interest groups capable of adding a value to the local economy.
