I am looking for my uncle's family (Walter Chodacki) All I have is a photo he took with his family and the back reads BJ Clegg, Morecambe, 1959. He was from Poland and moved to UK but my mom had only one letter from him. This is all I have to go by so if anyone out there can help would be ever so grateful for any information. Thank you.
Wow - Last time I was there was about 12 years ago.
I am a "Sand Grown Un" and now I see there is more sand than there used to be :)
Living in the US now (since 1997) but nice to see the old place has changed
- also looked at the heyshamonline.co.uk web site
- Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
Its about time somebody fixed up this website. It was nearly as old as Morecambe lol.
On a serious note... its looking great and coming together nicely although the flash photoa;bum can be a bit slow at times. But the change is welcome and will probably entice younger users to use the site to....after all this is our community.
i think you need to improve the place for children
My husband, son and i have just come back from a wonderful weekend in beautiful Morecambe. I moved up there 1 year and stayed for 5 but now live in Bedfordshire and now miss it so much, the people are so friendly, the views are breathtaking and it feels so open and relaxed, i grew up in Bedfordshire but living in MOrecambe for only 5 years has stolen my heart and will be living back there growing old very soon.

I just stumbled on this website and think it's a nice idea. I used to live in Morecambe a long time ago and miss it like crazy.
I guess Morecambe has changed a lot since I lived there in 1970-ish. One day I'll make it back!
