I’ve built some maps covering Morecambe which show the crime ranking against other areas in England. Each area contains around 800 households, so you can easily see crime at the neighbourhood level.

Just type in your postcode, zoom in and see how your area ranks. You can also see if it has moved up or down the table. The maps are totally free to use.

I hope the maps are interesting and look forward to your comments!

Nice idea Harry, just a little unclear to know what the different colors mean.

Are you from the Morecambe area? How did you stumble upon our new site?

Although this post was a few months ago, I just thought i would leave a comment to say what a load of rubbish the map was. The colours were referring the crime rate in morecambe, with red being high and green being low.  Anything in between must be medium.  There was a scale at the side of the map.  The street I live on was in red, I have lived in this house which is situated on a cul de sac which comprises of 10 houses and can say I have never heard of crime being committed on this street. Nothing! The street at the side of my house which I can see out of my window was in green, meaning low rate crime.  Crazy, God knows who makes things like this up.
