I wonder if any of the members here have any views on the decision to close the Dome? Personally I thin it's a crying shame and can't see why it can't be kept open until the Winter Gardens is a viable venue. I find it difficult to believe it needs £500,000 spending on it. It seems to work perfectly well as is.

I agree. When I read that it needed half a million spending on it my eyes nearly came out.

I hope that this is a friendly community website operated by site admin/moderators who respect freedom of speech and care about the best interests of Morecambe and its residents.

I agree with you both. its a pity you could not have been at Morecambe Town Hall on Monday evening.

Have a read of this website link:-

Morecambe desparately needs a voluntary ratepayers association formed by ordinary local folk who have business skills if this area is ever to get public accountability and a town to be proud of.
